Sony HXR-NX3/1 NXCAM Professional Handheld Camcorder

The HXR-NX3/1 is a replacement model of the HXR-NX3 with battery and charger supplied. It is a professional camcorder that features G Lens with three control rings, four steps of ND Filters, and switch-type WB presets and gain settings to provide the common operability of conventional professional handheld camcorders. The HXR-NX3/1 incorporates three 1/2.8" type ExmorT CMOS sensors for outstanding image quality. Dual media slots allow simultaneous or relay recording in AVCHD 2.0 (up to 1080/60p) format. There is also a Slow & Quick Motion feature that achieves smooth 2.5x slow motion when recording at 24p or 60x quick motion when 1 frame per second is recorded in 60p. In addition to the 20x optical zoom, Clear Image Zoom with Super Resolution Technology provides an extended 40x zoom range with excellent clarity and detail and virtually no effective pixel loss. A built-in LED light, Wi-Fi/NFC remote control capability, and a larger 3.5 inch LCD panel for enhanced viewing add to the versatility of this multi-purpose camcorder, putting the finishing touches on an advanced system that offers unprecedented video recording freedom.

Sony endowed the HXR-NX3 with three 1/2.8" Full HD CMOS sensors. What does that mean to you? Three 1920 x 1080 sensors-one each for the Red, Green and Blue channels-mean exceptional detail and texture, even on high-contrast colors. And Sony's Exmor CMOS design delivers low noise for superb clarity deep into the shadows.

20x Optical Zoom, 40x Clear Image Zoom
Take control with separate rings for focus, iris and zoom. Shoot exterior day with built-in ND filters. Then choose your point of view with 20x optical zoom that extends from an uncommonly wide 28.8mm to 576mm (35mm equivalent). Need more? Sony's signal processing wizards have created Super Resolution Technology, for 40x Clear Image Zoom images that hold up even under close inspection.

A proud member of Sony's NXCAM camcorder family, the HXR-NX3 records in the AVCHD codec at frame rates of 24p, 30p, 60i and 60p. Ideal for sports, the 1080/60p mode combines powerful detail with smooth, lifelike motion. The camcorder also offers 720/60p AVCHD capture, powerful Slow & Quick Motion (overcranking and undercranking), plus standard definition DV memory recording. Two card slots enable simultaneous recording and relay recording.

Built-in LED Video Light
For even greater versatility when shooting close-ups and interviews, the HXR-NX3 comes equipped with an LED video light. It's good for 200 lux at 3.3 feet (1 meter) and 800 lux at 1.6 feet (0.5 meters). This handy little light can make the difference between getting or missing a shot.

Wi-Fi Smartphone/Tablet Control
Now your smartphone or tablet can act as a remote E-to-E viewfinder as well as a remote control for Recording Start, Stop, Zoom, Iris and even Touch Auto Focus. To satisfy a wide range of productions, the Wi-Fi remote works with both iOS and Android devices. MP4 streaming from the camera delivers up to 30 frames per second to your wireless device.
